About
The Coolangatta-Tweed Squadron of the Australian Air League is blessed to be able to meet at Air Gold Coast flight training facility at the Gold Coast International Airport. Cadets have access to be able to share in the fun, friendship and flying in this fabulous and interactive setting. Surrounded by real life aviation experiences, cadets learn aviation skills, marching and disciplinary skills, leadership, citizenship and community spirit all in a fun, friendly and safe environment. Take part in physical education, personal development, confidence building and other external activities such as camping, competitions and community events. Whatever your cadet aspires to be, we can help promote their self development and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) here. We have girls and boys from the ages of 8 to 18 that are building their skills in first aid, camping, modelling, navigation, meteorology, electronics, aircraft engines and flight theory to name a few.
We regularly march in ANZAC Day parades, participate in Clean Up Australia Days, travel to inter squadron activities and competitions, visit behind the scenes at the Gold Coast International Airport, use flight simulators, take regular flights in light aircraft, helicopters and gliders, fundraise, visit museums, have photography competitions and take part in public speaking to build our confidence. A balance of practical and theory training will have your cadet soaring to new heights in an interesting and diverse environment.
Come and be part of the fun, friendship and flying at Coolangatta-Tweed Squadron this Wednesday!
